Bees are essential for our survival, pollinating a huge amount of the food crops we eat. Einstein warned that if bees were to disappear, humans would soon follow. The current problem of colony collapse is still being investigated. Whatever the reasons for it, there's no getting away from the fact that our increasingly urbanised planet provides fewer natural nectar-producing plants than it should do. Bees need food too!
So do your bit for the bees, for the planet and for yourself - grow lots of sweet-smelling flowers!
