Molinia arundinacea ‘Cordoba’

Molinia arundinacea ‘Cordoba’ is a new Moor Grass introduced by Intrinsic Perennial Gardens, Inc.

It is currently available in the Chicagoland area (USA) and in Denmark and Germany (Europe). The variety will become more widely available soon.

Molinia arundinacea ‘Cordoba’ is one of the last selections made by Ernst Pagels of Germany. Ernst is responsible for many of the best new Miscanthus introductions along with other perennials.

The flowers on this Moor grass emerge in July on long 7’+ stems and slowly color to a vibrant butterscotch in October.

These substantial clumping plants prefer a moist to well drained soil in full sun. The US hardiness is zone 4-9.

Ten cents for each plant sold will be donated to a School in Germany where Earnst Pagels nursery was previously located.
